Live Streams
I guess this is as good of a section for this topic as any...
I've watched a bunch of live streams since everything shut down. Some great, some...not so great.
I've been trying to find a one-stop-shop for seeing everything coming up, but that seems to be a pipe dream.
Metal Sucks has a limited number of listings, mainly the same stuff every week that isn't quite my jam, but I check it regularly anyway, because...why the fuck not? https://www.metalsucks.net/livestream/
Songkick lists all kinds of stuff that I've never heard of and there's no way to filter it by genre. I like stuff other than metal, but really have no interest in most of the indie stuff they list. https://www.songkick.com/live-stream-concerts
Bandsintown is a little better with genre filtering, but I'm sure there's still tons of stuff that isn't listed (like today's Obituary stream isn't listed) https://www.bandsintown.com/?came_from= ... lter=Metal
Any suggestions for places to look for live stream listings? Wanna post up what we hear about in this thread?

Re: Live Streams
Paradise Lost did one last Thursday which I thought was quite good. It was $15 for the "VIP" package, which got me 3 extra songs and an interview with questions posed by fans. They didn't say a word between songs, or at least it was edited to seem that way.

Re: Live Streams
Because I'm not the biggest PL fan, but I do like them and I'm dying for live music, I bought the bargain basement version of this and watched it on an iPod at work with Bluetooth earbuds. Not the same as the flatscreen and hifi, but it passed an hour on a Saturday.zla vydra wrote: ↑Mon November 9th, 2020, 9:35 amParadise Lost did one last Thursday which I thought was quite good. The production value was great and fit the mood.

Re: Live Streams
Obituarylive.com is running their three live streams until the end of the year. I've watched each one repeatedly. Damn, I love that band.
The Dare/Terror stream a week or so ago was great. Hardcore really needs the crowd, but I'll take what I can get for now.
Here's some upcoming stuff I've made notes on in case the cabin fever is too bad.
Every Time I Die hasn't ever meant much to me, but this is happening.
https://tidathon.com/
Bad Religion is doing a four-part series of streams, each one based on a decade (80s, 90s, 00s and 10s)
I'll probably get the 80s one on 12-12-20
https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/bad-r ... s-decades/
Behemoth is a bit too polished for me, but Nergal is always an interesting character and there's documentary on him:
http://www.adamtheapostate.com/
If you're interested in DIY punk/hardcore, skate, BMX, etc...culture there's a new doc series on that made by the singer from Ten Yard Fight:
https://gumroad.com/d/224082a152cb428adf38928060b87dd1
KISS is doing a NYE stream at noon our time in case you are interested in brunching with a bunch of ringers:
https://www.tixr.com/groups/landmarksli ... dbye-20370
There's info on that stoner/doom doc, SUCH HAWKS, SUCH HOUNDS, from a few years ago here:
https://cvltnation.com/doom-documentary ... w-showing/
As soon as I can clear out some time I'm all over this Mercyful Fate show from 83. It looks hella grimey - like a VHS from...wait for it...83.
https://cvltnation.com/black-funeral-me ... w-showing/
Don't be Dani Filth:
https://www.bandsintown.com/e/102083037 ... =top_event
Kerrang's K Pit has a bunch of metal punk streams archived:
https://www.kerrang.com/tags?tag=the-k-pit
Post up anything you've heard about in here. Even if you think it's shit, maybe somebody on here secretly does want to Dani Filth.

Re: Live Streams
This was pretty cool. It was indeed live at the Earl and the sound was really good. The only weird thing was that they had some TV/film production company there running things. For GG King at least, they were constantly cutting in and out of five or six different cameras panning and zooming around with these cheesy video effects. Almost too much. They calmed it down a little for Withered. Was great overall though and I hope they do it again soon.MS_39455 wrote: ↑Thu December 17th, 2020, 7:18 pmLive stream of Withered and GG King.
