How were they when they played the Fox a couple of years ago? Last time I saw them was about a decade ago, and Rob sounded pretty weak. Now he's 70...

still very enjoyable. rob still has plenty of charisma and weight to his voice, but yeah his range is nowhere where it used to be. when he does do the falsetto highs it's that kinda clenched screech that can see in any recent vid. and the band is still tight as ever, thanks the the spry young 59-year-old scott travis. for me really the appeal is that every time they come through they usually play at least 2-3 absolute banging deep cuts, like starbreaker at the fox.

I actually thought he sounded better that night than the last couple of times Priest was in town. Sat nosebleed side-stage at Gwinnett Arena in 2014 and could see him sitting in a chair sweating buckets and gasping for air in the wings in between songs and during solos. Wasn't sure how much he had left in him even then, but he seems to have pulled it together in recent years. I just realized that this is a Friday, too.

Was that with Steel Panther? Come to think of it, I was at that show as well, but I don't remember a damn thing about it.

Just snagged tickets for this. I'm doing something I've never done any of the several times I've seen Priest and splurged on pretty decent seats. Figured 50 years tour means if I ever want to see them from not the lawn or an upper balcony, now is the time.

I'm sad. But also hoping the old man comes out of the hospital okay and the postponed tour is with much better support.
