That show was one of the greatest things I think I've ever seen.
Where were you sitting at? The dude we were yelling at was up near the top left-hand corner of the balcony.
And I'm in total agreement with your last sentence.

Well, my original plan was to just sit back and take in Opeth's greatness, but that lasted about 30 seconds into the first song and I just had to start banging along.
I sat back and chilled during "In My Time Of Need" and the beginning of "Face of Melinda", the rest of the time I was rocking out.

That stunk missing the show. Tech sucks as does having two group projects due this week and a test.

Unless you are a girl, I dont think you were the only one, During Enemies of Reality there were like 2 girls crowd surfing right over my head.
As for the best song, I cant really tell, Blackwater Park was masterful, as was When and Bleak. I thought it all was just great. Opeth was the first death metal band I ever got into and I have seen them three times now and they never cease to amaze me.

I really enjoyed them all. Into Eternity wasn't near as good as on the CD, but their goofy, slightly gay singer was entertaining. Nevermore I liked once the sound got fixed (or at least improved), and Opeth was incredible. I wish it had just been and evening with Opeth so they could play for 4 or 5 hours.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

As you will find out from the interview, that will never happen.

Blackwater Park was the first Opeth song I ever heard and thus fell in love with, and consequently hearing it live now is like hearing a voice from God reaching into my mind and setting off the rapture.
But overall picking a best Opeth song is like picking a favorite sex position - whichever one you happen to be in at the time is the best one.

Did anyone else notice the speakers on the right side of the stage cutting out suddenly at one point? It was during a part where only 1 guitar was playing something soft with clean vocals. Those speakers cut back on during a heavy part much later in the song.
And it seemed that during Deliverance, the kick drums were loudest during the double bass part of that off-time heavy part. At first it seemed like they weren't being hit during the non-double bass parts. And then they came back on full volume after that passage. That was very weird.

Opeth was so damn good. I was second row towards the right. My right ear is now deaf. Forgetting ear plugs was a bad choice.

I left during Deliverence. Into Eternity sucked. I just couldn't stand those vocals. Nevermore kicked some serious ass. My second time seeing them.

Opeth was pretty good (my first time seeing them) but they're not my cup of tea.
