if you want 5-6 months thats cool, but when you said awhile i figured you were implying like years. either way, municipal waste is just as generic as soooooo many other bands, its just a different pool of bands (many of which you just probably dont listen to). here we go though.....

prostitute disfigurement - left in a grisly fashion
neuraxis - trillateral progression
putrid pile - the pleasure of suffering
withered - memento mori
mortal decay - cadaver art
disgorge - parallels of infinite torture
saprogenic - inchneumonid (hasnt come out but it leaked and rules!!!!)
infected malignity - the malignity born from despair
psycroptic - symbols of failure
bowels out - enlightenmight through dismemberment

i could go on but its getting pointless.... and dont get me wrong, i dig the new municipal waste, but i dont find it to be an absolute masterpiece or anything, hehehehe Image

I didnt say it was the best, but its one of the best. I dont really know some of those bands you listed. But the new Neuraxis and Disgorge are good.

I listened to Withered for the first time in a while today. They are probably the best active metal band in Atlanta right now. I cant really decide between them or TSU.

You must choose a side Neal: the withered or the souls unrest. The fate of the world is in your hands :!:

If I HAD to pick id pick TSU, I guess im more into them than Withered. They just do it for me. We'll just say my top 4 are TSU, Withered, Zoroaster, and Ameobic (new shits really good). Those are the only 4 active metal bands that I can think of that are actually any good.

Im excited to hear the new Steve Crumbly/ex Burial Rites project. Im sure that'll make it a top 5.

Edit: The new Daath is pretty good too.

Matt, you're gonna have to quit. If you don't, my ego will swell to the point that I'll have to hire an assistant to type my replies for me ;).

Actually, the show was booked by thunderdome booking out of florida. Dan @ thunderdome put the tour together and since we've worked with him a lot and have known him for years, he hooked us up on the show. Well, also thanks to our booking dude. I gotta give him credit too. It will be lots o fun. I'll be happy to play with deadbird again and it'll be good to see Dave Witte and the boys again. We brought deadbird to swayze's almost a year ago (i think) but you might not remember because few people were there.

Hmmm......if I had to pick between withered and TSU, that'd be tough. Blaze is smokin hot but then again, I have long hair and do whirlwinds sometimes. it makes me dizzy ever so often and that's fun on stage. It's a mystery for the ages.

Municipal Waste and Withered is an interesting pair.

I read the review of Momento Mori on Aversionline, I dont agree, They say the production is bad and what not, I think the recording is fine, Withered is a heavy band and I think the recording brings out the low end and does a decent job of demonstrating a little bit of their live atmosphere. I find alot of the songs creative and interesting. My favorite tracks, Within Your Grief, Silent Grave, Among Sorrow

About new Disgorge ruleing, I agree, Parallels of Infinite Torture crushes.

That sucks, Blaze. Hope you're ok.

I got myself a bit of a cold so I skipped out on it. I'll be seeing them at MDF anways, although I'm sure the smaller club show is a lot more fun.

good show, i enjoyed all the bands, except facedowninshit, they kind of annoyed me, and were boring in my opinion. withered and municipal waste were the high light though....
