id be down , but i think im gonna be on probation, CIM looks better i think, and i think that California death fest is gonna be a disaster, oh well....

I don't think Cynic dropping will affect the MDF turnout very much. I've been every year they've done it and I couldn't give a fuck about Cynic, really. It's the underground and overseas bands they bring that bring the people in. Bands you wouldn't have a chance to see otherwise.

Also, as far as Central Illinois fest goes...I'll be going this year just to see IMPETIGO.

Most of the people that mentioned this to me were excited about the Cynic reunion. I'm not that into the death scene, so i'll take your word for it.

I think Cynic on the bill was the kind of thing that convinced a lot of fence-straddlers to go, and I would guess their numbers are relatively small. Cynic would have been extremely nice to have as an added bonus, but while their absence will hugely disappoint many, I doubt it will prevent many from going.

Probably true, but I'm no longer considering making the trip since they cancelled.
