Peter Steele had a music stand for most of the set last night. They took it away for the last three songs, which were Christian Woman, Love you to death, and Black no. 1.

Most of the goths there don't get the jokes, apparently.

Celtic Frost put on a superb show. I don't often get chills at shows any more, but it happened several times Friday night.

No way. They sounded as good as when they headlined a couple of months ago. The only real difference in sound was that V Santura from Dark Fortress has replaced that guy from Apollyon Sun on second guitar. I still think that was kind of a weird bill for Celtic Frost to play. Type-O was cool in their own Type-O way. Brand New Sin was a snoozer in my book.

FWIW: Errol Unala was with Apollyon Sun, and he was in Celtic Frost when they recorded Monotheist. Anders Odden was the touring guitarist last year for the festivals and the US tour. I think V Santura, from Dark Fortress, joined them for the European tour and this tour with Type O.

Sorry about the multiple posts -- I don't know what the hell that was all about.

Anders Odden of Cadaver!?! This whole time I had been thinking it was Errol Unala.

The very same Anders Odden.
