but Ensiferum is like the Blind Guardian, Dimmu Borgir, or Cannibal Corpse of folk/viking as far as popularity goes

i just played paganfest. a week ago i had not heard of any of these bands until wendsday when the band Tyr asked me to play 2 sold out shows with them in Canada. Definately had the best time of my life, i'm not used to listening, let alone playing, that kinda music. but it was fun as hell. I love hangin out with scandinavians those guys were great. i had a blast.

everyone go to paganfest and drink!

My band Gigan is on the same label as Tyr. I got contacted and paid thru the label to do show.

A friend of mine saw this at NEMHF and said that during Tyr and Turisas, instead of people moshing in the pit, a bunch of people were fucking PRANCING in the pit. I really hope that's a site we'll see here, haha.

I generally keep away from inebriation but if you see a guy who's loaded, wearing red facepaint and a wolf pelt, hanging from the air conditioning ducts, shouting stuff in fake Finnish, and drinking from a horn...it might be me.
