The Gallagher brothers are still there, as is the drummer who replaced Wacko back in the late 80's.

Marietta has the venue that seems to be the favorite of the promoter. It's actually got a good stage/sound system and air conditioning that works.

The main bar area is completely separate from the music area (though there is a bar in there as well) and serves a decent-sized food menu, too and the show I went to there had in and out privileges, too.
Eh... not trying to be a dick but the majority of the people that are going to come to this show don't give two shits about food and there are plenty of better venues downtown that have good sound, let you go in and out, will have cheaper booze, will be cheaper at the door, and aren't a glorified sports bar in marietta. Just looking at their website affirms that the only way Raven should be playing that place is if they were some sort of 6th wave nu metal bro bullshit that dudes in jeans and flip flops think is heavy.

The promoter should honestly reconsider their choice, unless Raven is really stoked on playing for like 20 people in the suburbs.

The promoter to this show has built a very loyal following and brings out at least 50 people any time he does a show just based on reputation alone, whether it's a band like Raven or a band like Mnemosyne. Almost 200 people came out to see While Heaven Wept this past Saturday. It'll be just fine. You underestimate the draw of the Atlanta crap-metal crowd.

For perspective, the I_LOVE_ZUCKERPENIS event already has 66 confirmed half a week after being announced. We all know those numbers aren't accurate but compare them to shows we've all seen with good turnouts and low 'online numbers'.

Honestly man we played there like two years ago with prime mover and a bunch of other local bands nobody has heard of and there was a great turnout and the sound/stage was really great. Super well run and they even fed all the bands  I'd go to more shows at the local if they just hosted better ones

I always suspected if I saw Raven it would be over a basket of jalapeno poppers and a Brewtus.

(Actually this sounds awesome.)

If anyone comes across more details please post them up. I don't see anything on that webpage about the show.

Gives me an excuse to have dinner and drinks at McCrackin's.

Did Wacko wear the hockey mask or was that the other drummer? I saw them with the drummer in the mask.

That was Rob "Wacko" Hunter. I once read that the Gallagher brothers went into a guitar shop and saw Wacko playing the cymbals with his head. They thought, "that's the guy for us!" Or something.
