Ugh. I think I
will stay at home. The bands might rule (not familiar), but you clearly don't.
never said I did.
The problem is, you're sounding dismissive of a very robust local scene, which I am assuming that you didn't intend. Afterall, Death of Kings is on this bill.
ok, maybe I inadvertently did something like that. All I was doing was trying to show how much I BELIEVE in these acts and prodding those who sit at home and claim there's no 'good' shows to attend. Sorry about that.
Tell you what... here's what I'm willing to do... I'm so sure of this show and the bands on this bill that I'm willing to put my own budget on the line. If anyone reading this on the Atlanta Metal Forums wishes to come out July 13th and check out the bands FREE of charge, come on out.
Send me a private message with your real name and I will add you to my personal guest list.
How does that sound?

I just want you guys to see these bands on stage. That's all. I've never been in this to line my own pockets. I merely want to put dynamic bands in front of appreciative fans. And I'm certain I'll have enough turnout already to pay the bills for the evening.
So come on out and witness this show on me. If you don't care for a single band on the bill, all you'll be out is a gallon or two of gas. You'll even take home a free cd featuring 17 bands.
Hope to hear from you and I hope to see you there! \m/

If you don;t want to learn about some great regional acts that you may not come to know for a while longer, then stay at home.
who's to say how many bands make a fest? It's just a name. A show. An event. A fest. We're all just trying to have a great time with some dynamic metal acts who want to come to Atlanta and play for YOU.
dude Fuck You. Straight up! Keep mouthing off here and see the support you get from us. Insulting our hard-earned hardworking scene is no way to garner support for your Xteenth annual redneck shitshow. Rot in hell you fuck.

Don´t you love it when you see people overreact to a critical comment? I never wrote anything, nor do I recall anyone that wrote anything about prefering their friends´ band to something brand new. I can´t speak for the rest of Atlanta obviously when I say I can´t partically enjoy the same local act 10 times in one year. The majority of your post is irrelevant and full of butthurt.
However, I´m glad you did bring Raven to Atlanta. Even if I think you´re a total faggot now.

I went and enjoyed the three bands I saw. Draekon is not really my thing, but they were very good at the power-ish metal they were playing. The MC hilariously introduced them as the next band, Argus, who I had seen before years ago in their formative period. They were by far the best of the trio of groups I caught. Death of Kings were fairly entertaining as well.
The venue was fine - sort of like a bigger Famous Pub. Plenty of parking and no hassles. Glad I went.
