Looks like they're spreading it out over 4 venues too.
4 venues? What a pain in the ass for those going. The Masquerade would have been way better since they have 4 stages in one venue. Wish this came here but oh well. Yeah I've seen alot of these bands too but still, why Columbus?

Me personally, I think this years lineup kills last years by a mile! It's sorta like a mini- MDF almost.
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

I'm not bashing it cuz I had a great time last year, but I don't understand why everyone thinks last years lineup was so spectacular? It had a bunch of bands from GA and a few others like high on fire, neurosis, converge, torche, etc. that everyone has seen a 100 times and aren't that good anyway, except torche snd converge. Pig Destroyer was nice, but it got cut short because of terrible fucking Boringis, who were one of the worst bands I've ever seen. This year has much more of a variety I think, but I've seen most of these bands too. No big loss.

I was looking forward to it, until I relaized that feedback gets boring after about 20 minutes.

neurosis.

after looking at the list again i'd say its about on par with last year for me as far as bands i'd want to see. though it appeals to a totally different side of my musical interests than last year

For the most part there set sounded less like their drone stuff and alot more like their faster/more metal songs. I remember a bunch of fuzz and distortion but not a whole lot of feedback. In any case I really enjoyed them there.

Neurosis? I've seen them so many times that it's sickening, and it's always horrible. As an old friend put it once..."dude. there's no fucking riff." Bunch of noise with movies playing everytime I seen em.

Converge and High on Fire alone made last year's lineup better.

I did enjoy, Trash Talk, PxDx, Converge, Toxic Holocaust, Skeletonwitch, Coalesce, Torche, and some others. Was still A good show, but not overly special.

it wasnt really that i was looking forward to their set, it was more just the situation... having smoked a shit load of ridiculously good action with some of the folks from kylesa, high on fire, and withered right before they went on. shit was crushing.
