I've never heard any of those bands lol. A friend of mine has played some of them for me, he's big on the black/death thing, it's not my cup of tea. Can't wait to hear about VON actually playing this show. This is the first time in like 20 years that they come out of the shadows, and perform.

BlackRoija,

Thanks. Mmm, "Pleasure To Kill" - nice.

Leaving tomorrow night! Cannot wait for Repugnant, Watain and VON!
Lucky son of a bitch

I have so many new favorite bands now because of Maryland Deathfest. The best bands in my opinion were Autopsy, Possessed, Pestilence (I know understand the hype), Nirvana 2002 (people were fighting over their merch because they ran out), Portal, Crucifex (surpised the hell out of me), Howl was good if you like stoner doom stuff, Obliteration, and I could go on forever about my good time.

You better have a damn good reason like work, kids (people brought their kids fyi), or not enough money to have missed this.

I made alot of new friends hopefully some people I will see again next year.

Fighting over merch...classic.

Lucky will be if I can get to Helsinki. Failing that, then Berlin for NWN! Fest II in November, which, if things work out, may include Blasphemy!

I had one of the most fucked up dreams I've had in a looong time while at the deathfest. I think I had it either Friday or Saturday night.

I was at some random hose party with about 5 other dudes (who were all metalheads). I was flirting with one of them and he was flirting back and put his hand on my waist at one point. We all left and went walking down the road outside...it was drizzling and getting dark. The guy I was flirting with said "hold on, I need to rest my legs. They hurt every so often." He then takes off his boots and a ton of water comes pouring out of them. I take one look at his legs and from his calves down to the tips of his toes was nothing but gangrene! I started flipping out and screaming, arms flailing everywhere and meanwhile one of the other dudes called 911. The ambulance came and about an hour later, we got a call from the hospital saying that they had to cut his legs off.

wtf was that?! haha just thought I'd share that one with you all.

Holy fuck Shane! Too much beer...yeah after I was finished getting drunk for the night I would drink water throughout the night and all day until dark when I'd start drinking again. Yeah...I only got somewhat dehydrated on Friday but not after that cause of all the water I drank. Man, that's some serious shit...be careful!

yeah...it was some scary shit man...I got home around 4:00 or so. We had our new band's first jam around 5:30, about 30 mins after i started feeling real bad. My mind started racing, my heart was beating out of my chest and my blood pressure spiked. I thought i was having a heart attack, i'm thinking no i can't die now, got a grandchild coming soon, i'm back in a band, just had an awesome metal weekend. Leslie dials 911 and they take my to the emergency room. my heart rate was 147 and my blood pressure was 150/100. They pumped 3 bags fluid into me and i finally came back around. They said i was real dehydrated and depleted and was very close to a heart attack. Crazy shit man...let's just say i haven't had a drink since and lots of people will see me sober for the first time ever. Thanks for the concern guys. There's alot more shit for me to do man, can't be dying at 36.
