They played serpent headed mask.
I was in the very middle up close in the second row. I was next to Neal for most of their set, he got some good pictures. I thought Nile had quite a bit of trouble getting Dallas into the mix, thats why I thought The Blessed Dead and Execration Text were weak and so was Sacrifice unto sebek. I enjoyed it though, They finally brought Karl up at the end. You guys also have to remember, when you are droning your low two strings and playing leads at the same time the leads are going to be weak or watered down, especially if your guitar is tuned down to A.
I thought Decapitated had its ups and downs, they really got the crowd going, but at the same time, I thought their guitarist's playing sounded really sloppy. But again I was way up in the front so I really dont have an idea of the actual mix. Decapitated's drummer was awesome, They just played alot of shitty songs, Spheres of Madness was the only thing close to appropriate for their set. I would have chosen their set off Winds of Creation only and maybe The Fury or Three Dimensional Defect.
I didnt like with passion, their singer just made it suck. It was cool that they could get into their music though.
Raging speedhorn had no buisness on this tour. Period.
Soilent Green had a good live presence, Hey metalfreak! I think I punched you in the ass when you went crowd surfing over me!
Hypocrisy got the crowd into it but their set got so boring, all the songs sounded the same and began to drag.
All in all Im glad I got to see Nile again because seeing them play regardless of the mix is better than sitting at home. But to support Blaze, I have seen so many bands get horrible mixes in Heaven and the masq in general it isnt even funny. I dont know if Nile or anyone else actually cares about it, I think they just trust the sound guys to do their job.
