Kind of sucks that Immolation's tour with Rotting Christ and Belphegor isn't coming here though

I just realized that myself. Averse Sefira is on that bill, too. I guess an add on date between now and February would be a bit of a stretch.Kind of sucks that Immolation's tour with Rotting Christ and Belphegor isn't coming here though
well said! unfortunately, I only caught Sybaritic's last song...they sounded awesome though. and Skinless...they are so much fun! And not to mention they always deliver live! Immolation was great...I haven't seen them since June of 2003 so I was really happy about that. I only stayed for Suffocation's first song (it was great) because I had to catch the damn MARTA bus! I could've taken a later bus but I didn't want to get home superlate.kfoll wrote:Wow, that show goes right up there with the Dismember/Grave/VR/Withered show last year as one of the best ever.
I have not enjoyed myself so much at a show for a long time. All of the bands were brutal, and the whole atmosphere was fun. Skinless is fucking hilarious - I loved that "Zombie Wall of Death" thing , Immolation just slays live and Suffocation delivered the goods of course. I had fun watching the pit most of the time, wish I was young enough to enjoy getting into it myself.
Also, Sybaritic fucking owns me now. I really can't stress enough how much they blew me away last night, having not seen them play for a good long while (almost a year I think), and those guys have obviously been working their butts off. Out of all the Atlanta bands I've seen, they were really the perfect match for a show this brutal. Way to go guys!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???
Um, you really didn't need to tell me that Averse Sefira is on the bill too. Now I'm even more bummed out that the tour isn't coming here! They slayed at the 1349 show.MS_39455 wrote:I just realized that myself. Averse Sefira is on that bill, too. Excellent, excellent show last night from start to finish. Pretty good crowd for a Tuesday night.

I looked at both of those dates...one is on a Monday so I can't go to that because of WNGTI and the other is on a Thursday and I'll be in a late class on Thursdays next semester....which fucking sucks because I agree attendance is mandatory! So I emailed the email address on the contacts page off of Rotting Christ's website. It probably won't make a difference but it would be nice if this tour came here.necroodin wrote:I'll be hitting Nashville or that North Carolina date for the Rotting Christ/Belphegor/Immolation business . mandatory attendendance

Go to a hardcore show.Brian wrote:Yeah, the show kicked ass. There were a few inbred douchebags in the pit who had the stereotypical hardcore kid mentality (purposefully trying to hurt people who aren't in the pit) but everything else was great. I didn't think Immolation was all that great, but they sounded good so I guess that counts for something. Skinless and Suffocation were absolutely incredible though.

I've been to plenty. I'm not saying that every hardcore kid acts like that, but the stereotype exists, at least among the metal community, that the typical hardcore dancer is only in there to injure people. You can't deny that. It doesn't mean it's true, but it's out there.holly wrote:Go to a hardcore show.Brian wrote:Yeah, the show kicked ass. You have no idea what you're talking about.
I got clobbered from behind and by eye smashed into the back of the head of dude in front of me, resulting in a bit of a shiner. However, in true metal fashion, the dude, after yelling, "F*ck, that hurt!" turns around, sees my Hate Eternal shirt and says, "Nice shirt, bro!" and returns to enjoying the show.kfoll wrote:I got backhanded across the face, and nearly broke my glasses. Dude came flying and landed with all of his weight on my leg. If it's not any better by tomorrow I'm going to get some X-rays. Yay!
I grew up in hardcore, and so did my husband (in two completely different communities). I am telling you that you are wrong.Brian wrote:I've been to plenty.
