Just as long as Destruction's tour-bus driver doesn't flake out, decide that "the People" are after him and take a taxi to the airport.... Yes, really.

THAT was a really weird night. We (me and Tim) drove back down to the Masquerade after he heard about it because....well, hell, how often does THAT happen?
And then the coach company kept calling Tim because someone told them he could drive the bus. "Uh, no really, I appreciate the offer but -- listen carefully! -- I Don't Have a CDL."

Dunno when it happened, but they managed to scare up a new driver and the bands (Destruction were sharing the bus with someone else, can't remember who) were back on the road by 7am.

My b/f and his buddy met us there. you totally missed the lap dance I got from Blondie...yeah my boyfriend loves me sooo much that he bought me a lap dance from her and then she smushed my face in her boobs. wow...that was an experience. I'm not sure if it was good or bad. she smashed a pbr can b/t her boobs too...I got to keep it as a souvenir  this morning, my b/f was all like "you're never gonna wash your cheeks again" hahahaha what an asshole
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Mantic Ritual & Krisiun killed, saw three or four songs of Destruction but had to go to an Outlaws MC party so left a bit early. All in all good show.

No smoking inside blows ass.

mmmmm Blondie. What a woman! I have a DVD of GG Allin playing at the Clermont Lounge. They cut him off after one song and you can see Blondie stuffing dollar pills down his pants and making out with him. Awesome shit.

Yes what a fun, crazy, event-filled night. It was cool meeting new people, Rothtanator, Screambloodygore, neomanguy...and I think one more dude.

Hope you had fun Sarah, too bad you missed your own after party!

And I know Amanda had fun  Blondie sure seemed to like you and Daniel haha.

Haha Oh yeah, Destruction and Krisiun were great too. I was pleased with the material they played, lots of good old stuff, especially the "encore." Krisiun was Krisiun, which is never a bad thing. And I was surprised by Mantic Ritual, pretty good. When they played I kind of felt like this was how a good metal show must have been like in 1985.

Necro where were you, I'da thought I'da seen your tall ass somewhere in there. Yeah it kinda sucks about the non smoking. I saw a lot of people in there smoking anyway, even after the staff came and talked to some of them. I however went outside, as it was a relief to get some fresh air after the stuffiness inside. (I think between that and those strobe lights caused a vicious headache so I had to miss that whole Clermont thing. Boo! And I'm disappointed I didn't get to see a birthday barf from Sara.. Booo! ) ;)
But it was a good show. I had never heard Destruction, and they lived up to all the stuff I'd heard about them. Now I gotta get some to listen to. Krisiun I felt could have had a longer set, but they totally kicked ass. Mantic Ritual was just - OK, not really my cup o' tea, but then some bands grow on me if I listen to them more.

Well goddamn. The one show I have to miss turns out to be the party of the year. I drove by the Masq about 12:30 when I got off of work and it looked like the fun was over...little did I know.

I was either smoking up on the deck next to the Slavic people, or chilling up front during Krisiun on the right side. Was kindof surprised by the turn out being light, but that just means those that were there, wanted to be there, which always makes for a good show.

holy shit that's gross! hahaha GG Allin was a nasty dude so I guess that's appropriate lol

I'm glad they don't allow smoking in there anymore...that shit is so fucking revolting to me. Yeah if I am in a venue where it is allowed, I'll just deal with it and go outside every so often for fresh air. It was nice being able to breath for once.

Dammit I knew I should have gone to this. I had planned on it but decided not to the day before the show.

Same here...I don't mind smoking 99% of the time but when people smoke in there, you can't even breathe. Mix that with it being super hot and it sucks. If you just go outside and smoke, it's not a big deal.
