I'm skipping out on this one... Not big fan of BTBAM at all and Ill be at Behemoth the following night. Would like to see Cynic but not a huge loss for me at least.

Fuck.

1 girl is going on a date, 1 girl is working with me, 1 guy already has other plans, and this other lady is sick. So I have to work 5-9.

I hope that the show starts late like at 8 and they take forever to set up in between bands. If Cynic somehow starts at like 9:40, I'm gonna try to make it.

I really want to make this show and I have my ticket, but I'm nervous about the ice. So if I can't find a place to crash then it looks like I wasted some money.

if you need to you can stay at my house. A buddy of mine driving in from Mississippi already is. I'm only about 5 minutes down the road from the Masq.

Im wondering how bad the ice is between the two new bridges downtown, I hear water has been seeping up and freezing on the expressway.
Anyone drove thru this yet or know anymore?

I will most likely take you up on that offer. I hope the roads are as good as Jordan says.

Be careful, Gene. There were a shit ton of wrecks around Cabbagetown and Little 5 b/c of black ice and people driving like idiots, i.e. NOT CAREFULLY.

City allegedly only had FIVE trucks laying sand/salt, which is one reason why it's still not so hot driving cond.

Be careful.

I worked a double shift yesterday and got off work about 2:00 AM. I got quite a surprise when my truck slowed to a halt while climbing a hill and started slowly sliding backwards. Never had that happen before. I bet most of it will be cleared up by tomorrow night.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Scary shit. Having done a 270 -- twice -- on an ice-coated I-75 bridge in my mom's old Torino wagon when I was 16, in front of 4 cops, I don't wanna do that again.

Of course, the cops were all pointing at me and dying of laughter. (I didn't hit anything, it just looked funny as shit.)

I hit a snow-covered uphill on a curve on my way home from work last night, but I just downshifted to third and hoped I'd be okay. Didn't even seem like the car slid at all. :!:

Just got a setlist.

They're playing *spoilers*

Swim to the Moon AND White Walls so I'm definitely going now regardless if I miss Cynic. I still hope I can see them though.

Apparently a lot of the ice that was on the roads Friday which melted refroze overnight.

:?

Come to think of it, the bands and staff may have as much trouble getting there as we do. I'm going to call ahead before going.
