Ha, hate I missed that. The whole place was lit. On my way out, some random mom with the kiddies in tow insisted that I take the rest of her smuggled vodka for lookin' totally metal dude.

Wicked.

Rob and I actually said something similar: "Tommy's the most metal dude here..." As you schlepped off into the night...

I can remember going to shows at the Omni and looking down over a sea of rivet headed freaks in kutte and motorcycle jackets and now "concertgoers" look like the folks you see at Target. :)

I definitely think that distinction belonged to Karl Sanders. Alpharetta's a long drive from Egypt.

I remember that same feeling of awe at being surrounded by so many outsiders like me. I think the change is because "concerts are so freaking expensive now and parents are much more pop culturally aware and thus over protective. Growing up with parents from a distant generation meant that I could get away with anything. It's gotta be tougher to be a teenager today when you parents grew up as part of the I Want My MTV generation.

What kinda made me chuckle were all the women there who were obviously former strippers...some of whom brought their daughters who are obviously strippers in training.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!
