Anyway I'm very stoked for this show. I've been wanting to see Nevermore for 6 or 7 years now.

You didn't see them in 2005 with Opeth at the Roxy?

I still hate that I missed that show. But I heard that Nevermore didn't get the warmest reception that night. I've seen them a couple of other times though.

Strange, I won't even get into the many ways the world conspired against me last night. Suffice it to say that when I walked through the door you literally stopped playing and said "Thanks everyone for coming out!" I'm not even kidding. It was like the final scene of a weak sitcom.

Speaking of weak:

Blackguard is so unbelievably bad.

And so are their little costumes. Two of those dudes were not built for skinny girl pants and tight zipper vests. They looked terribly uncomfortable and I felt sorry for them.

But I did get to see Warbringer again, and I love seeing them live. And I may or may not have seen Brian on stage with Warbringer. And I saw ratanda. But I had to bail after that.

Anyway, Strange, I hope it was a good set. Sorry I missed it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you caught at least some of the bands. I didn't see your text until after the show was over, but it dawned on me that I didn't see you at all! I was just wondering how I'd missed you. But then, I was dealing with loading out gear and whatnot during Hatesphere and Blackguard, then I went through the Chambers of Horror before Nevermore came on.

Anyway, Diana, Dan, Sam, Steve, Brian and Paul, good seeing all of you and thanks much for coming out! We'll try to play later next time.

Good to see you guys too! Saw a lot of folks I hadn't seen in a while and some who it's always good to see. Diana, you didn't stick around for Nevermore?

From setlists I've seen on the web, they've been playing Seven Tongues of God towards the end of the set. That fake "encore" when Jim Sheppard walked offstage was supposed to be them playing it I bet! Damn.

I just hope Strange gives me friend points for tearing ass through the parking lot like a great big loser. I ran all the way to the ticket booth, handed the ticket girl my right arm and the hot ID checker my left, and I STILL didn't make it.
