My only big complaint was that Cough didn't play a very long set, but it was so late, I am sure that they were tired, too. I also want to thank Floyd for his hospitality and in giving me a place to stay. Appreciate it a lot!
Just want to say this... I came from Florida for the show expecting it to be a "real fest". What the promoter is saying is FAR from the truth. 200 people my ass! The headliners dropped. Cough was whatever.. To sum the crowd up: a handful of local SCAD students, mainly dirty crustie followers and punks in a specific click that only came to see a band or two then left. Some random people that heard about the show, maybe 15-20 total coming and going throughout the night. Most of the people in the crowd were bands watching other bands out of pity. The Sweet Mellisas matinee was also a joke. Sorry for the 5 underage kids that came to that to only see half the bands play and wait hours for it to even start late. The promoter is saying this to attempt to prove you so called "elitists" wrong! He's saying this to make himself feel better about another failure! Not to mention it was way overpriced for the package. Phobia was never even planning on coming. They knew this from the start that they were not touring and if they played would have to fly in from Oregon. Fly in from Oregon to play for a nonexistent 20 kid crust scene? I don't think so, and they knew this from the start. there was never even confirmation of them playing, only assumed and hope. The ONLY band with a somewhat decent crowd(20-30 people) was Strong Intention, and that was because they had that crazy drummer everyone wanted to see. They were cool and did a good job, I'll give them that. As for the comments of bands saying it was awesome, that is simply ass kissing, nothing more. They feel bad and of course aren't going to say "oh shit shit sucked sorry for coming savannah!" He's taking those comments seriously stating this was a success? ROFL. The venue seemed disappointed, the crowd was bitching the whole time about bands dropping off, and like I said people(15-30) only stayed for Strong Intention and some of Cough. The rest was embarassing, even for the locals Indian Giver. I don't know how the fest last year went, but from what I'm hearing it sounds like it was VERY similar. Savannah doesn't have a great scene and I won't be returning for anymore shows. Nor will I travel to a venue in the middle of crackhead central to see a "FEST". Damn, shit's lame nowadays guys. This guy wants to fit in SO bad! Thanks for the flame topics about SC on this site, I get a nice kick out of em! -florida metalchick

I remember specifically hanging out by downtown near the "matinee show" drinking beer with one the bands "they eat their own god". I asked the singer "is the wormhole show even worth checking out right now?" after seeing the 5 person crowd at Sweet Mellisas and the let-down band members. He said "dude last night was waaay better" and that was when there was at most 30 people in the frigging venue! According to a guy in one of the actual bands they had a 5 person crowd, and the show was a total bomb. This was night cough played. They went on so late most people ended up leaving anyways. Several bands actually told me they didn't even want to come and were thinking of dropping off last minute after reading the fests reputation on the internet. Think of how this shit made me feel, coming from Tallahassee spending a crap ton on gas and hearing from the actual bands I was excited to check out that they were all this bummed! Only bands that seemed to not care about this were shitfaced the whole weekend(hot graves). I apologize for saying all this, but it sucks the promoter wants to lie to all of you in an attempt to impress and make up for past failures. I really don't understand how he sold 184 tickets. Does not make any sense.

Why would any band want to or need to kiss my ass???? Now I'm ROFL. Doesn't make sense.

I'll give you Sweet Melissa's the under 21 show because not even people with 'free passes' showed up for Hot Graves, Shadow Of Creation, Tombstalker etc.

As far as attendance 184. People came to see band they knew so 30 here. 20 there. 30 here, another 15 here 5 for this band it all adds up over two days to 184 not MDF or CIT by no means no one is suggesting that. But from certain perspectives other than attendance yes, it was better.

Bands not happy. We've already rebooked half those bands for 2012 at some point in the year. Venue not happy? You mean the same venue that has since given us a weekly night? And has also sent two larger shows our way? Gimme a break.

PS: Phobia is now based in Texas/NY has never been based in Oregon just for future fact reference.
