SF and Satyricon ruled! Got the fuck out of there before the sodomized cat shrieking began. *almost* met Frost but I really wanted to have Satyr sign my shirt...he was taking too long to come out though so I left. :(

Septic Flesh had the single worst mix I've ever heard at the Masquerade but aside from that they kicked ass.

Satyricon fucking owned the show, left right after them.

I think I was the only person there last night that didn't know that Frost had made it into the country this time. I thought to myself, "Hmmm...that little guy looks a lot like you know who." Very pleasant surprise. I do hope they manage to come back as a headliner in the fall like Satyr was saying.

I don't think I've ever seen a set where the bass is the loudest instrument in the mix haha. You couldn't hear the guitars or piped in stuff at all!

I'm hoping Satyricon brings some good bands with them on their headlining tour. A black metal band would be nice.

bang your heads and drink a beer for me!
that's funny, I went to the circus the night before this show!

@Brian - wow you really think so? I think Septic Flesh stole the show! I thought they sounded great! anyways, I will now probably buy all of Septic Flesh's discography and I can't wait to see them again next weekend!

Satyricon was great...yeah it was cool Frost got in the country! I got one of their setlists and had Frost and Satyr sign it. :D

CoF was pretty good...I can't stand the shreiking but when he's not shreiking, they're pretty damn good and Dani does has a good voice.

also, I saw some people I haven't seen in a looong while like Ripper and Skully. I was thrilled to see Skully cause I think it's been like almost 2 years since I saw him..maybe 2.5 yrs. He didn't have on his eye patch wich was pretty cool. 8)
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Ripper was there?!?!? I haven't seen him in a few months. Last time I saw him I was at an Underoath show (don't laugh motherfuckers) and I ran into him because he was downstairs for 80s night. Damn it's been a while, I used to see him all the time!!!!

Brian, Ripper would probably have said 'hi' to you if he'd seen you...but you DO look a bit different from the last time he's seen you. :)

I didn't think they sounded great, but I was close to the front, stage-left, and could hear most of the backing orchestration and voices okay. They were right on the money time-wise with the backing stuff, too. \m/

Shhhh, he prefers to be called "Wraith" nowadays. But I've known him so long I told him "Sorry, bub, you'll always be Skully as far as I'm concerned" and he grinned in a resigned way.

Or "Skulletregus," for those who remember Lestregus Nosferatus. :)

Oh, yeah, first post from me here in a few years, etc.
