go to the venue itself and buy them. My friend did...she got one for me & Tommy while there.
Yeah, I know. I wish I could have gotten in on that.

That was one of the weirdest shows that I've been to in a long time.

There was an older guy there, big, with a cane. At some point, he and another guy went into the stall together in the men's room. I have *no* idea what they were trying to do. There was another older guy, looked like he was a gym teacher, who got progressively more drunk and violent. He was not making friends in the pit and ended up ripping some dude's shirt, then turning to me for absolution, which I could not give. There was a couple that was dry humping out on the main floor. There were a lot of country folk there, it seemed. Someone threw firecrackers during a song. (I was looking for Mark.) There were punks, in fights. One of them went over to the older guy with the cane and asked to borrow it, so that he could get even. And, after the show, one of the gym teacher's friends came randomly up to me and said, "Do you vant to zee zometing?" and pulled some sort of cloth out of his front pocket and held it up about ten inches from my face. I think it was one of Tom Hunting's gloves. "It is stinky" the German gym teacher's friend explained. (I assume that the gym teacher was German, as well.) WTF?!

But I got to hear "Piranha" and that made the night.

Haha I must have missed all of that. I did see you with sleya though. Anyways, it was a good show, didn't enjoy holy grail all that much but exodus rocked as expected and bonded by blood was pretty good as well... their guitarist (with the violator shirt on) was siick. Damn it was loud though, I still hear the cymbals..

Oh yeah the fireworks were pretty funny though. I thought it was a gun for second

Exodus was awful.
Bonded by Blood was great.
Malevolent Creation was really, really good. Much better than the show in July.

Sadistic Ritual was awesome. Lots of potential.

I ended up missing Sadistic Ritual -- I wish that I could have seen you guys.

I wouldn't say that Exodus was awful! But the turnout, and therefore the energy level, was low, because of Dragon Con, I suppose.

Aaron -- you should have come and said hello!

Yeah I agree the turnout ruined the show.. I'm surprised bands even come to Atlanta considering how few people show up. Only a matter of time.

And sorry I didn't say hi knuclehead :P

I was a little surprised to see Gary drinking -- I thought he gave all that up.

Sorry the "not enough people are here so we're gonna be listless" is I think the most bullshit thing I've ever heard. Some of the best metal shows I've ever been to have been no more than 30 people, but the band recognized that these 30 motherfuckers were here to see them.

Case in point, Monstrosity at the Somber Reptile many many moons ago. Been to alot of other shows that are alot more memorable than a show packed to the rafters with asshats

Oh, I wasn't being clear. All the bands were giving 100%, as far as I could tell. The crowd was definitely there for Exodus and Exodus definitely knew that. Folks were stage diving and there was slam dancing.

But there is definitely a different energy in a packed room. And that's all that I was saying.

I haven't really seen a packed room @ Masq for a metal show since Morbid Angel played here last.

Exodus sucked out loud, to say the least. Like 7 of the new Exodus songs, then Piranha, then more bs gay songs, and by Toxic Waltz we were getting kicked out.

Malevolent fucking DESTROYED!

Holy Grail sucked ass too, cheesy, crappy power metal mixed with br00tal breakdowns and shit.

I only saw BBB's last 3 or 4 songs, but they usually kick ass.

Their tone was pretty god awful too. I could only stand watching there set for 2 mins before I felt like my head was going to explode.
Wasn't the case for Bonded by Blood and Holy Grail though. They ruled.
