Yeah for real! I don't think anything comes close to that but like you said, the lineup for this year is pretty fucking awesome!

I'm buying my ticket as soon as they go on sale. haha

2003 was definitely the best line up this fest had. its not even a deathfest anymore. not saying its not a good show, i havent been since 2008. id like to go, but its certainly not a deathfest aka "death metal fest" its expanding into a show with a surplus of different metal genres.

tickets are now for sale here: http://www.marylanddeathfest.com/tickets.html

They're $180 for all 4 days and $150 for 3 days.

I bet Morbid Angel wants a huge guarantee or something because that is kinda steep compared to previous years. They can only charge this much if Morbid Angel agreed to not play anything off their new album

Oh well, lots of good bands so it's still worth it.

What a bunch of broke ass fucks. 180 bucks? For four days of awesome fun, with months and months to take care of the rest of the expenses? If you are over 18 and can't come up with that, McDonalds is always hiring.

In fairness, I know some of these people are going to Rites of Darkness and travel expense turn that $180 into $500 pretty quickly. RoD has a better lineup and the ticket is nearly half the cost...

This is a case of everyone is entitled to their opinion, these are the only bands playing RoD that I like:
DEAD CONGREGATION (GRC)
DEMIGOD (FIN)
INTERMENT (SWE)
P.L.F. (TX)
PLUTOCRACY (CA)

MDF costs me at least a grand every year and I have never felt that I didn't get my money's worth.
See you in Hell!
