I'm going just to see some raw pigs' heads tossed into the crowd. Do they still do that?

I think they probably stopped after Necrobutcher gave some kid a concussion.

Fantastic. We missed everything except for the last couple of songs by Keep of Kalessin, which was fine.

Atilla was on, last night. They opened with Sylvester Anfang.

I think that was a real skull in his hand. A couple times I thought he was going to make out with it.

Yeah, he's definitely an interesting frontman. It was cool to finally see Mayhem. Good setlist mix, too. I was hoping for Pagan Fears but I believe that Disco night took precedence....

When he first came out, I thought he was loaded.

This is the setlist they've used on other dates and I'm pretty sure they played all of these last night, as well:

Sylvester Anfang
Deathcrush
Cursed in Eternity
Ancient Skin
My Death
A Time To Die
View from Nihil
Illuminate Eliminate
Buried by Time and Dust
Carnage
Freezing Moon
Funeral Fog
Chainsaw Gutsfuck
De Mysteriis dom Sathanas
Pure Fucking Armageddon

Atilla's voice is crazy, but he looks like some overgrown German kid you got lumped in with at a youth hostel who listens to house music non stop and is constantly looking for vintage Le Coq Sportif tracksuits.

"I hear of place no far from here, yes? Have suits from sewenties no? Go now? Yes?"

Mayhem was great. We got there just when they were setting up. Ended up paying $28 but it was worth it since they played a ton of old stuff including De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas which was the one I wanted to hear the most. Pagan Fears was missing though, sad.
