got word that I don't belong to the Air Force until June 5th so I just bought my ticket!

Apparently I'll be in Europe.

On a farm in the middle of nowhere.

Talking with my in-laws who don't even speak proper Dutch.

In a dialect that they swallow when speaking so you can't understand a fucking word they say. Except for "Smaakt het bier, Todd?" (Does the beer taste good).

In a voice so loud you'd think they think me deaf instead of just being American.

MDF is a very inexpensive trip when it comes down to the value of how awesome of a time it is. Took me a couple years to get my routine down, but the last three I was very satisfied comfort wise, merch wise, and buzz wise for between $750-900 each year(you can do it much cheaper, but it's my yearly fun time vacation so I indulge a bit). That's on sharing a hotel room with one other person . Ticket, hotel, airline, merch, booze, and drugs.

Never heard of that one. Amazing how many splintered dialects exist over there between such seemingly short geo-political expanses. More evidence that Europe is indeed, as stated, fucking old.

To stay on topic, I'm doing my best to get to MDF this year again too. Hated missing last year.
