i'd love to see napalm death at the drunken unicorn. eventhough it can get quite crowed in there, i'd much rather see metal shows at the "unicorn" rather than the masquerade. cheaper beer, better sound.......liquor store across the street. sounds good to me

The sound guy really sucked Imo.

But yeah,Its much smaller,pretty cool. Pig destroyer would be cool there,Napalm death might be worth seeing

no, actually i have the views of an adult. an adult that has not only been listening to metal for the last 20 years but have been attending shows and performing in clubs around this side of the country for the last 10 years. thats what is called "real world perspective" and not just opinions i came up with by reading things off the internet.

my official opinion is that the drunken unicorn is a great venue. i've seen great shows there and i've drank good beer for cheap and the majority of the shows i've seen there have had very good sound.


and "shitty venues" is quite subjective. you would probably call places like the 513, the neutron bomb, C-12 or the wreckroom "shitty venues" but most of us that have been around the atlanta metal/punk scene for a while would probably disagree. they might have been shitty places but they weren't shitty places to see metal and punk shows.

513... deeds of flesh, cephalic carnage, dying fetus... somber reptile.. avulsion, unblessed, others, Monstrosity.. ... its like The Brass Mug in florida, that place is just a bar, but for metal shows, it somehow works and has a great vibe. Nocturnus seemed huge in that place, and its just a bar.

I dont care how long you have been going to shitty metal shows,you obviously weren't at this one,because the sound guy FUCKED up the bass for nachtmystium and fucked up most everything else for negative plane!
Who cares if the beers cheap,it doesent mean its a good venue. I will admit,TDU was not the worste,but I wouldent say it was the greatest either maybe 8/10 at the most. I understand that you feel you have to stick up for this gay place because you have been there alot,but the sound guy was fucking up alot of shit that night and even the bands were getting pissed. I don't care how long you have been lisning to metal Were you have played or whatever point you were trying to make there. 8/10 is pretty damn good on everyone else's radar there little buddy. its obvious that you havent' made it out to many shows at many places in your life and that was my only point. i've been around and seen plenty of venues all over the country and i'd say that the drunken unicorn was badass no matter where you put it.

and as far as nachtmystium's sound goes.........have you ever heard any of their albums? they don't seem too worried about sound or production to me.

and the people here that are of legal drinking age do think that the cost of beer can make or break a venue. just ask them.

i honestly don't mind if you don't like my band. its better than your's

well,even if I was 21,I wouldent get drunk and see a concert,that would kind of waste it,again I dont care how old you are or if you have been to more concerts then me because Im sure most of them have sucked to high hell.

I like the nachtmystium album sound,they use good guitar work effects,better then anything you could ever put togeather. and on the album the bass doesent suddnely burst out with BWWWOOOOOMM BOOOM BOOM BBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM BWWOOOOM In the middle of songs. Even If I recorded all my albums with a broken computer microphone made out of treebark and leaves that would still piss me off for a live show.


And also,You have never heard my band nor do I care if you ever do.
