Clutch is not metal
But here is my review anyway:
Q: What do me and Clutch have in common?
A: We only show up to work for the paycheck.
I personally feel that this day and age is the absolute nadir of Clutch's live show, and it boggles to me to realize how much of a shell of their former selves they've become. All four (five) of them going through the motions, with a fraction of the balls/chops they used to display. If you enjoy their new album, you'll love this show. If you like stomping your foot to the same beat, you'll love 80% this show. If you were never that interested in Tim playing guitar tastefully, you'll love this show.
Officially the last time I pay to see Clutch.

They really were an interesting, thick band for a few years. Their first (and especially the self-titled album) are still classics in my opinion. They never fit in well with the typical "rock" crowd and weren't heavy enough for the true meathead metal fans. I'd say from 1994-1998, they were fantastic live and on CD.andyb wrote:ive heard them before and was never impressed. i saw them for the first time ever at the "sounds from the underground" show. i was even less impressed. i just dont understand the fanbase they have developed.
Now it's just lazy, cheesy jammy fatguy donut-box-backstage, uni-beat go-go addled fluff.

no, I just really thought you would like the way that Neil put it.
When you took the Practice Scholastic Aptitude Test did you know the answers or did you
guess?
You rely on gimmicks to amuse your fans and act all urban to jack up your soundscan,
what's the matter with you?
How come you rhyme monosyllabically, is atrophy shrinking your entire vocabulary?
Your style's like garbage cans, meant to be taken out on a weekly basis
Ever since your first record you've been in a state of suspended animation
You look like Snuffalupagous and australopithecus, me, cray, you, abacus
But enough about you, let's talk about me and how single-handedly I redefined the
science of radio astronomy
Making Noble Prize winners question their notions of reality
Oh but I digress, you always win in Sorry and I always win in chess
go get some percasets
Uh ha ha, ha ha
Careful with that mic Weezie
Do you really think it's that easy?
Anyway CLUTCH rocks. They are turning into a total rock and roll jam band but, they do it well.
