hope you all fucking rot
yeah man, i'm mike.
what turned out to be an AWESOME show, just started out with a lot of confusion.
very basically, Breakers has switched management and had absolutely NO communication between the exiting staff and the new booking agent. it all started when Allen from Burial Rites gave a theoretical lineup for Dec 16 which was to be Burial Rites, Prime Mover and Ecryptus. Well, before it could be confirmed, that date was given to Legion X. Allen then asked to have the entire show moved to Dec 17. But what was NEVER communicated to any other bands was that they kept Prime Mover on Dec 16, and gave the Dec 17 date to Standing Behind you with Knives and just moved our bands on with them. I only found out that we were booked on the show barely 2 weeks before and we never confirmed with Breakers that we were even playing, but since they had us on the bill we agreed to play a last minute show. the line-up that I was given by Breakers and SBYwK was that they were opening, then us, then Burial Rites. in which case Buril Rites and us agreed to share some equipment. so when we got to Breakers they said WE were opening for a band that had NEVER played before and when I voiced my opinion and concerns about messing up the ADVERTISED lineup, that none of our fans knew we were opening early and that ir would mess up our equipment rotation, i got noithing but flak. For simply speaking up for my band and the people coming out to see us, we were told we could go home and that they didnt give a shit. So, to be the better band, to show rookies the unwritten rules of respecting bands that have been on the scene before, and to avoid any more confusion we agreed to open the show first, just much later. When Allen showed up, Breakers management chose to give him attitude and put their hands on him and he went off. The new manager kept saying that we could all go home and cancel the show and that none of our patronage was important. But after everything settled down it was a great show, all shit withstanding. The only people to blame for any confusion and argument is the new management at Breakers. They are unorganized, unprofessional and unkind and greedy with their acts. All the bands are cool with each other and nobody was mad at each other and we'll all play gigs together again, just not at breakers if we can help it...

haha you should have just switched with sbywk, thats who i went to see (just friends not a huge fan though, but i always try to support) mike what did you play? i like to put a face with a name. as for breakers, they did that bullshit to level 3 or 4 times. some band would call us asking to play. we would agree, couple days later that band would call and say the show was canceled. but they didnt tell us only THEY cancelled, next time i went to breakers brian was giving me some shit, but i was always easy going with those guys. sbywk knows the drill with new bands vs. old bands. they were ready to take the opening slot, but since BR bass player got all pissed, the owner didnt want to switch it around to try to prove a point or something. he will learn, hes still fresh.
hope you all fucking rot
