Genghis Tron is a band of surprises. Their melding of brutal grind and ethereal electronics has a tendency to leave even the drunkest or most jaded audience with their jaws on the floor. Formed in early 2004, Genghis Tron's demo immediately caught the attention of Crucial Blast records. Their debut EP, "Cloak of Love" was released in February of 2005 to critical acclaim and plenty of confusion. While magazines and websites across the country were reaching for absurd comparisons (i.e. "Napalm Death meets the Postal Service") and aggrandizing hyperboles, Genghis Tron was cementing their status as one of the most innovative and mind-boggling new bands through their destructive live shows.
