It's funny seeing you write Converge as "support" considering even up to the last time they toured together at the end of the Summer Mastodon was opening for Converge.

That was a direct quote off the 40Watt club show schedule. But yeah, ironic twist for sure.

I'm planning on interviewing Mastodon. Mastodon is the better band so of course Converge is 'support'

Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

I know the truth is painful. Converge is by no means bad, but facts are facts.

Both of their latest albums are lame, so I'm not even going to bother trying to make a point here.
2006 was disappointing to me as far as music goes.
Regardless, I'll be at the show.

No one has mentioned the fact that Priestess is fucking terrible.
Way to go major label support!
Comparing Converge and Mastodon directly is kind of silly.
Converge has 3 classic albums. Mastodon has 2. They're both good in their own ways.
New Converge is crap.

Yeah, it's silly to compare them, like you said. I may prefer Mastodon, but they're not as important as Converge.

I guess that's the reason I've never heard of Priestess. I wasn't being serious claiming Mastodon the superior band, but I will argue that all three of their albums are classics, and that new Converge is not crap. Point being, this show will kick all kinds of ass.

Are we just ignoring the fact that mastodon are bigtime sellouts?

I don't know. Leviathan is a definite classic as is the Lifesblood EP. Remission is close, and Blood Mountain hasn't really won me over yet.
Yeah we got the Priestess cd. It went into the trash. It's more of that Black Sabbath wannabe shit. Granted the Sword does it well. Priestess does not.
