Nachtmystium/Wolves in the Throne Room (Louisville, KY)

Post by theRothstanator » Sun September 14th, 2008, 12:08 am

So I know this is a long stretch since this is like a 6 hour drive but does anyone want to carpool to this? This is the closest date to Atlanta. It's Oct 23rd at Uncle Pleasant's.

Two words: fuck me. I would really like to see WITTR, and their last show here is quickly becoming one of the kick-myself-in-the-ass-I'm-so-stupid-I-can't-believe-that-missed-them shows.

Louisville is not possible for me.

EDIT: on the other hand, I see that they are playing in Lansing on the 24th of October. That is the weekend of my 20th (guh!) high school reunion...

Wolves in the Throne Room would be good, but fuck Nachtmystium.

Oh mah gawd, I can't believe what I'm reading. How could anyone dislike Assassins?

That's more of a rhetorical question. The album really is fucking insanity, though.

I dunno man, Nachtmystium, Xasthur, Judas Iscariot, I lump all these bands together into the overrated pile-of-gay-usbm

Judas Iscariot cant be lumped in with those bands. Judas Iscariot fucking rules. Heaven in Flames is an undeniably awesome BM album.

Nachtmystium used to be good.
Xasthur is hit or miss, usually hit though.
All hail Judas Iscariot!

I really hope this starts another black metal flame war.

Yeah, I know a lot of people are like, "omg hipster usbm" or some shit. Do we really need to discuss this again? I feel like that has come up in every thread that's vaguely related. Just looking for someone that might be interested in going. I think I have two people that should be in already, if not I just might take Greyhound or something.

Didn't really dig them so much at the Jesu show, but since then "Two Hunters" has been getting some play in the car stereo. In my experience, if I ever travel a long distance to see a band, they usually end up playing here a few months later. Since they tour with non-bm/extreme bands (like Jesu) that probably increases the chance they'll come back round' these here parts.
