Those of the Unlight & Opus Nocturne are fantastic. For the extreme end of the spectrum, try Panzer Division Marduk.GameFreac wrote:It's a school day so I'm already off work...I'll be there.
I need more Marduk albums though...all I have is Rom 5:12 and only liked about half of it but I love Those of the Unlight.
What should I get next?
I really liked Plague Angel - the first rec w/ Mortuus/Arioch on vox. The live one, Warschau, is fucking nuts, too.

Those of the Unlight is a classic. I like World Funeral alot also. Bleached Bones is a killer song, one of my favs. Panzer Division Marduk is great. Fuck Me Jesus is an EP but a good one.GameFreac wrote:It's a school day so I'm already off work...I'll be there.

I think Heaven Shall Burn is a great early album too. It was also Legion's first album. I dig the last two albums almost more than any previous releases. Mortuus/Arioch's Funeral Mist fingerprints are all over the new material...lyrical content, artwork, etc. I think he's a great counterpart for Morgan's writing.
Panzer Division is essential Marduk, though. Just buy the whole catalog.

@ Everyone else
Thanks for the recs.
Also, they played in Baltimore, MD last night so here's a taste of what we might get with the setlist...don't know if it will be similar or not:
