Shows at this hipster bar are a blast when local scumdogs show up for this kind of thing. Always a good time... and cheap beer.

Yeah, all local. Death of Kings is pretty much the same dudes that were in Das Manics, if you remember them. I think they've got a pretty obvious Maiden sound these days, but it's really rockin'. They just finished a demo at LedBelly that sounds great, too.
Wolves and Jackals had a definite blackened edge the one time I saw them. Two guitars, no bass...wall of sound blasting with some more technical bits thrown in here or there.
Phalanx can sound sort of thrashy, but with a real hardcore influence (and I'm using that term in its purest sense).

Haha I'm at some hipsters joint in East Atlanta right now...there's a punk show here tonight. I guess this place I'm at is normally a sushi place
anyways, I won't be making this. Got my physical for the AF and will have to wake up at 4am. I'd rather sleep haha

They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???
This show turned out to be amazing. I couldn't believe how many dirtbags came out of the wood work for this one on a Monday night. Packed wall to wall. All three bands are great (Death of Kings in particular killed it live), but I gotta' plug Wolves and Jackals again. I'm not crazy about the recorded vocals on the three song demo they have, but they've got a great live sound. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion.
