I've got the CM demo but haven't heard the record. Seems like I got "cut" from the 20 Buck Spin promo pile so I don't think I will unless, you, know...

So, yeah, um, the demo is good! It's ladies rocking out but light years from The Devil's Blood's rehash of 80s era BOC/Heart.

I think only the singer is female, but I could be wrong since it's next to impossible to find anything about this band online.

I'm obssessed with that last Devil's Blood album: haunting, beautiful, creepy and classic rock-ish in a good way.I played it more than just about any album in the last six months. No problem with flaunting BOC leanings with me. I just think they are unique in this day.

Another female fronted band that leans to metal side of CM is Austin's Blackholicus. Kind of a sloppy rock n' roll structure, but more metal. Really good, to me.

I'm pretty finicky about female fronted metal. Those three bands work for me, but to each our own....

The quality of TDB's output is not commensurate at all with the accolades they receive. Obviously filling a void here as short of EPIC SYMPHONIC METAL the female-fronted Metal bands are few. Can't fault 'em for it, but I'd rather listen to the music they pay overt homage to. And you can have all the evil trappings too.
