Who'd want to see Rome (industrial/neofolk) play here?

Post by BlackRoija » Sun February 20th, 2011, 10:15 pm

They're interested in coming to the states next year to play some house shows, and I've volunteered mine. I'm trying to gauge interest now so I can figure how expensive it'll be per person.

Cost of entry would give you the chance to see the makers of 2009's album of the year (Flowers from Exile) play a show in my living room and hang out and drink beer, swim in our pool, get autographs/shoot the shit with the boys and all that cool stuff. And if you haven't heard this band, I highly recommend you do.

If you know anyone who'd be up for this, tell them, because it's a flat fee to bring them over from Luxembourg so the more people who'd be down = the cheaper it'll be.

i'm not familiar with the band but the concept of touring another country playing only house shows is something i can fully get behind.

Yeah, sounds like an interesting gambit. Must be a lot cooler playing somebody's house--with a pool, a fridge that's stocked, a lot of laid back, yet appreciative fans, an extra bedroom to crash...is that in the arrangements? Just wondering...

That's all yet to be worked out since this wouldn't take place til summer next year, but that seems about right.

Hey guys, got an update regarding this.

The date has been made official: July 16th, 2012. This will be either at my house or my girlfriend's house up in Kennesaw. Tickets will be limited to about 40 due to space. These will be available for presale at some time TBA for between $12 and $15 per ticket. I'll post here when they're available for purchase.

Parking would just be on the street in the neighborhood. If this is at my house, we'll have the pool open and we can make it a big BYOB party, but we'll see.

Any suggestions, questions, or comments, post em here.

I don't control the ticket sales so I can't do anything there. I'll just be sure to post here with presale info as soon as they let me know how it's gonna roll.
