I've only listened to their new album but I like what I hear. How much do tix at Variety usually go for?

it's like 27 bucks with all the service charges - but i would pay ten times that amount to see these guys they are legends and haven't played here since the early to mid 90's
think i am going to go see them in tenn as well

Ihsahn still plays Emperor songs live...this is not a clear cut choice.

Speaking of, I saw a guy in an Emperor shirt at my Publix last night. It was almost surreal.

27.50

Post by Odinson666 » Fri May 13th, 2011, 2:35 pm

is what i paid for my ticket this morning, figured even with no jarboe it will be worth it , lets face it if it wasn't for them there would be no Neurosis, Tool, Ministry, Godflesh, Agalloch, Rotting Christ, Atriarch, My Bloody Valentine ...i could keep going with bands who have cited them as their primary influence

Mad jealous. Really wanted to catch that show, but just not possible. I know I'll regret missing this show for ages.

if micheal gira is writing new stuff that they are preforming , i would imagine with the state of the music biz these days if they have intention of recording it , they are going to be forced to tour to support, granted at 57 i'd say he would prolly only do swans for another 5 years or so , so thats maybe two more albums and tours depending on the economy one how expensive touring can be , so i would say it was you last chance to see them
