I really hope so.

Similarly, do you, or does anyone, know if there are any Atlanta-area/Athens/whatever black metal bands? I recently moved here from RI, where there is a decent amount of good bm going on. I miss it.

Your best bet for seeing local bm bands is Hellgoat and Abyssus (maybe). There isn't a huge scene unfortunately.

Most of these bands at one time were Atlanta/Athens based but moved or broke up. Some are still active, some are studio-only.

Hellgoat is playing with DNS in Charlotte. Still working on trying to make ATL happen. DNS isn't cheap.
