That was a killer show. Seems like drinking was tolerated in the parking lot as long as you kept it low key. I remember the bald dude from Vital Remains drinking with a crowd of people outside.Knucklehead wrote:Grave/Dismember in October '06. That was a great show. (Despite the fact that I met ScreamBloodyGore that night. Or maybe that was some other show at Swayze's.)Metalfreak wrote:Swayzes...so many awesome shows back in '05 & '06!
I also bought a few CD's at that place. I'm guessing it's gone downhill since?
Deathgasm moved out of that space a number of years ago. Still going strong though, just mostly online and at select shows/fests.zla vydra wrote:I also bought a few CD's at that place. Videodrome is open and seems to be doing very well.badcarburetor wrote:How else can a video rental shop stay open in post Netflix world?deathgasmrecords wrote:No, the video store was 2 doors down from there. We drove by one yesterday and were sure it had to be a front.
Deathgasm-sponsored Swayze's show? An oddly comforting throwback.
Here's Infinitum performing at 585 a while back:

Videodrome is a niche institution. I'm so glad to see that it continues to thrive, especially since Movies Worth Seeing gave up the ghost. I think it's the exception that proves the rule and it is dependent on the densely packed apartments filled with young folks that surround it.TheKshatriya wrote:Videodrome is open and seems to be doing very well.badcarburetor wrote:How else can a video rental shop stay open in post Netflix world?deathgasmrecords wrote:No, the video store was 2 doors down from there. Is this the show with Nominon, when it was about a bazillion degrees inside?lsaldana wrote:Deathgasm-sponsored Swayze's show? An oddly comforting throwback.
