Grave/Dismember in October '06. That was a great show. (Despite the fact that I met ScreamBloodyGore that night. Or maybe that was some other show at Swayze's.)
That was a killer show. Seems like drinking was tolerated in the parking lot as long as you kept it low key. I remember the bald dude from Vital Remains drinking with a crowd of people outside.

I also bought a few CD's at that place. I'm guessing it's gone downhill since?

Deathgasm moved out of that space a number of years ago. Still going strong though, just mostly online and at select shows/fests.

How else can a video rental shop stay open in post Netflix world?

We drove by one yesterday and were sure it had to be a front.
Videodrome is open and seems to be doing very well.

Deathgasm-sponsored Swayze's show? An oddly comforting throwback.

Here's Infinitum performing at 585 a while back:

Videodrome is a niche institution. I'm so glad to see that it continues to thrive, especially since Movies Worth Seeing gave up the ghost. I think it's the exception that proves the rule and it is dependent on the densely packed apartments filled with young folks that surround it.

Gonna be a good one. I'm just gonna pour some liquor in a coke bottle.

If I was in town for this show, there is no possible way I'd miss it. Unfortunately I'll be out of town at this time.

Is this the show with Nominon, when it was about a bazillion degrees inside?

It sucks I missed out due to work.
So how was it at the long abandoned and forgotten ancient ruins of Swayzes?
