Apparently ST has a new album coming out in March, "Cyco STyle." There's a teaser video on their website. I wonder if Mike's voice changed again.

Edit: apparently the album is called "13." Aren't there two other bands with albums with the same name?

Damn, haven't seen either band since 1987 or 1988 at the Metroplex. ST was headlining on the Join the Army tour, and DRI played with Kreator and Holy Terror.

It's not the best place. The sound systems aren't even that good.

I was at those shows too! Didn't Die Kreuzen open for ST?

Not the show I remember. That would've been great, but I only ever saw Die Kreuzen when I lived in Austin (1989-1993).

I saw ST a couple of times around then. Do you remember the opener for the show you were at?
Just did a search. Here's a pic from the '87 ST show. Necropolis was one of the openers. I don't remember that. I also so found a a flyer for that DRI show.

Necropolis might have opened. That would make sense since I saw them a number of times in the late 80s. Wonder what Mel Ballard is doing these days? (Queues "Hey, I'm Mel Ballard...")

I went ahead and bought tix. I usually don't do that and don't think this show will sell out, but this thread made me paranoid!

Does anyone know anything about Waking the Dead? The Masquerade page links to some other band called Wake the Dead.

Read a review of the show in Salt Lake City, and the old-timer (like me) who went wasn't that impressed. ST only played 13 songs after having busted out 19 in Reno the previous evening. That's making me re-think things a bit. Of course, we have DRI opening here, which is a big plus.

I guess Liars in Wait is now on the bill and there's also a Metroplex reunion in Hell. Cool.
