NON METAL SHOWS: you post 'em

Post by MS_39455 » Wed April 10th, 2013, 10:40 am

4/10/2013

Had more than one request lately for a sticky thread that would allow users to post NON-METAL shows that they're attending or feel might garner some interest here on the board or in the metal community in general. As always, the topic will be "unstuck" should there appear to be no real activity after a reasonable period of time. So, go on...

I'm going to be out of town, but I would have loved to see They Might Be Giants at the Variety Playhouse on Saturday the 13th.

Adam Ant And The Good, The Mad And The Lovely Posse at Center Stage Tuesday, August 6th.

I'm stupid excited about this. I went to Music Midtown last year pretty much just to see him and he was...excellent. He isn't entirely the slight pretty boy of years past, but he's still hot and he still brought it. The new album,
Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter is pretty much as bad as its name, but he played all the old shit and I lost my mind when he played "Beat My Guest." If you dig the Ant Music, this isn't to be missed.

Crashdiet tonight at Masquerade. I doubt there's another person on here who gives a flip. Not sure if I'll make it. I have LONG day ahead, but really would like to catch these pretty Swedes.

Almost exclusively new material and no encore, but still magic.

That's a pretty good list. I hadn't heard about Human League. What's the line-up? I hope that it's not just Phil Oakey and a bunch of jobbers.
