Going to see Mogwai on Friday with a co-worker.

Majeure is opening and we realized that neither of us knew anything about them. So I played clips from a couple of their songs through my streaming provider. After about 45 seconds of electropop ridiculousness, I clicked over in my queue to "The Abomination of Desolation" by Teitanblood, for a little mental floss.

The co-worker left my office.

Majeure is great. He (she? they?) did a collaboration with Steve Moore that's well worth getting. If I were in town I'd check it out. Still haven't seen Mogwai.

7 Seconds Thursday, August 7 at the masquerade. I was a big fan in the mid to late 80s, but never caught them live.

ha! Sometimes I hear noises emanating from that house while I'm walking around, but it usually sounds like someone having a shitty hardcore band practice.
