Did I miss something? Is it 1994 again?

Awesome. Saw NIN last fall in a 7000 person "arena" and it ruled.

I'd go to this, if it isn't $700

i could do with out Soundgarden ...or Lakewood in general ...I've seen Nin there before at least three times once opening to David Bowie and it was all backingtracks, with the guitar feedback when ever they karaoke'd over them, then once with A Perfect Circle opening, and that was pretty worthwhile, then with Jane's Addiction, which they also do pretty well on, but Jane's sucked, and from what I have seen of the new tour I can do with out the gospel back up singers ...so I'll check maybe with a side note of get there late

I was 11 in 1994 and had Superunknown when it was new, I love Soundgarden.

I saw Soundgarden on two separate occasions on the Louder the Love tour, once opening for Voi Vod, which was the first time I ever heard Soundgarden and was blown away, then saw them open for Danzig and they were still pretty awesome, was alright with Badmotorfinger and even treid to like Superunknonw, ignoring Spoonman and Black Hole Sun, then after that it seemed like the were turning into Cheap Trick and Chris Cornell has been an embarrassment ever since

Agreed 100%, I've never seen Soundgarden or NIN, so it's a win win for me, if I can afford it. Badmotorfinger is my fave, and Cornell's early vocal belting is unparalleled.

I saw both of those tours, also in Detroit. I had heard Soundgarden before the Voivod show and was blown the fuck away. The energy was fucking palpable. Did Faith No More open the show here?

Soundgarden weren't nearly as good at the Danzig show. Maybe they had been on the road too long, at that point. Part of it was that I had lost interest in Danzig, by that point. Anyway, COC opened in Detroit and I enjoyed there set, so the evening wasn't a complete loss.

As long as Trent plays "Wish" I'll be a happy man. He was nominated for a Grammy for that one (or at least the album) and I believe that was the first time a song was nominated that contained the lyrics: "fist fuck."

Btw, doesn't this thread belong in the non-metal section?

The Atlanta Metal Magic Eightball says outlook good, so I don't think it's a problem. I'll likely try to check this out if lawn prices aren't ridiculous.
