How will you know if your Dad likes Entombed unless you take him?
I'm excited to see Entombed in such an intimate setting. All of their other shows are big outdoor festivals.

Mostly. I believe there are a few guys from later Entombed incarnations (from around '06 or maybe '07 on maybe). Caught this line-up last summer playing maybe two songs from the A.D. album. Plenty of Left Hand Path and Clandestine still.

It is Petrov and then non-original members, but ones who have been around for other albums and tours. Check out their recent set list. They're playing a lot of good stuff, and they've only been playing big festivals lately. This is going to be a rad experience to see them at the EARL.

In that case, this might be my father's day gift to myself. I haven't seen Entombed since 1992, and they were both sloppy as hell and awesome. I hope LG and co. still have some magic left.

Any thoughts on whether this will sell-out?

Ticket sales are definitely on the rise but, given that the advanced price + fee is about the same as at the door, I imagine it's going to sell out night of.

I doubt it.

Why do you doubt it? The band's playing a killer set list that should satisfy all of their fans. They're playing a smaller venue as opposed to a huge sweaty festival. I don't think they've played here before. A ton of people are excited about this one.

Them playing an intimate space vs a huge sweaty isn't a draw, because Entombed (AD) has never played a huge sweaty festival in a 650mi radius of here. And also, the Entombed setlist i saw from a week ago only had 2 LHP songs and let's be honest, that's their only good album.

Would still be a big maybe even with Deicide and Hate Eternal. Attendance has been shittier lately than it normally is. Maybe 65 people at Incantation, fuckin' 25 people seeing Master play an American show in who knows how long, 15 lone souls witnessing Thantifaxath...I'd love to be wrong.
