I was on the fence about going to the Wednesday show. Primarily because I want to see what ole Barlow is doing with his new band, but with this announcement I went ahead and killed that thought and bought Thursday instead.

Yeah, I considered just doing it online last night when I heard the announcement, but waited and crossed my fingers that I wouldn't miss out on Saxon for trying to avoid those ridiculous fees.

A reminder to the whole crew...I work across the street and would be happy to save you a few bucks for any show.

Got tickets, mostly for Armored Saint. I've never seen them, and I haven't seen Saxon since 1983.

I'm hoping Armored Saint only plays off the 3 first albums. Last time I saw them, it was like 70% groove stuff I wasn't crazy about.

Dallas Convention Center, opening for Maiden on the Piece of Mind tour. Fastway played as well.

Last time in Atlanta (2013) 8 of the 14 were from the first 3, so I imagine a similar proportion this time around.

Saxon is *breathtakingly* cheesy, but part of my metal education as a kid. I wouldn't miss it.
