I heard they were going to be in town on this day at The Roxy. Anyone else heard about this?

Yes and I've heard Nevermore and Dark Tranquillity are going to be on the bill too. Which means, it's going to be one kick ass show.

Yep, it's at the Roxy.

According to Tim, the Masquerade called him to ask whether they should book the show, but he was out of town and missed the call. By the time he called them back and told them Yes, the show had gone to the Roxy.
--Which is cool; it's a better venue anyway.

New CD placed #63 on the Billboard chart for first-week sales, with 15,000 sold.

Hell no. Why not book Gene Loves Jezebel for a SF/fantasy/comics/gaming event? Oh, wait, nevermind....

Did anyone else notice that Pelican is going to be the opener for the first part of this tour? I can't possibly imagine Pelican having enough clout on their own to get this tour, makes me kinda curious if someone in the Opeth camp put that together.

Considering they're on the Western dates, and that's where HydraHead is based, it makes perfect sense.

How are we supposed to smoke joints during nevermore and opeth at the roxy, as they are part of the Anti-Tobacco Reich. Curse these damn promoters.

I dont really look forward to into eternity(Probobly free karate lessons for everyone during their set), but Jeff Loomis is a good guitar player and Opeth is the first extreme metal band I ever got into so It will be worth the 18 bucks.
