ProgPower 2017

Post by ratanda » Fri September 8th, 2017, 12:52 pm

I know someone selling two 2-day tickets for $100. If anyone's interested in one of them let me know.

Here's a funny story: At the first Atlanta Prog Power, in 2001, Tim who now plays drums in Rigorism hung out with Steve DiGorgio and his wife/gf for much of the fest. I joined up with them and some other folks after the show one night and we headed to the hotel that is now The Artmore. Steve DiGorgio decided it would be a good idea to find the Spiral Architect guys and get them to hang out, so we went to their hotel room. Repeated knocks on the door with no answer. I finally said, "They'll probably won't open the door unless you knock in a syncopated rhythm," and everyone laughed. Laughing, Steve said to me, "That's pretty good, man."

Was syncopation achieved and did they open the door? You should start a "here's a funny story" thread. The Corpsegrinder one was pretty good.

I forked out the cash for full price tickets for day 1 & 2 this year. I could have probably got cheaper second hand tickets later on, but I also really need to see Ross The Boss and Dream Evil. Now I DEFINITELY have tickets. :D

With the exception of like 2 songs, it was a full Manowar set. They busted out Battle Hymn and I was happy. Really wanted to hear Bridge of Death or Metal Daze, but I'll take what I got!
