Crowbar/Spirit Adrift Aug. 23 @ 40 Watt in Athens

Tickets are less than $25, including fees. Should be a gigantic crowd on a Tuesday night in Athens. They may have to move it to the football stadium.

That ended up being a fun night. The 40 Watt was about half full, and Crowbar sounded better than they had in a while. Spirit Adrift guys are really cool - talked with them for a while afterward.

I was there, too. Guillotine AD wasn't bad. I'd never heard of them. Spirit Adrift ended up being great. I was worried at first because something about Hear Her seemed off. They had some Thin Lizzy sounding harmonies, which was cool. Crowbar was good. Kirk sounds like he gargles with rocks. That breakdown in Cemetery Angels gets me going every time.
