Rigor Mortis show?

Post by necroodin » Sat October 22nd, 2005, 11:33 pm

Was just reading on that wonderful archive of news Blabbermouth.net something about a Rigor Mortis show in Atlanta on November 8 ? Anyone know anything about this?

"I've been invited by my bros in RIGOR MORTIS to sing a few songs with them in Atlanta on November 8th. And I will be doing so. "

This would kick ass.

Cool. Rigor Mortis were a good yet underrated thrash band - I would almost compare them to Exhorder. Some of the members went on to bands like Gwar, Ministry and DIN (Atlanta band from early 90s). It'll be interesting to see them again.

Yes, this is all very confusing. If Rigor Mortis is playing in Atlanta that night, why can they not be bookended onto the Opeth, Nevermore show with bands that are clearly more in the vein? These are questions that must be answered. We could even let Into Eternity have the night off, and just replace them with Rigor Mortis.

The show was double booked, so they just combined them.

Oh yeah, I forgot that their last album in 1991(Rigor Mortis -vs- The Earth) was going in more of a punk/hardcore direction. Kinda DRI'ish if I remember right but I'm not very familiar with that album.

By the way, for anyone curious we played a Rigor Mortis song on last week's show, so you can hear what they sound like up until this friday if you want.

It's about 14 mins 30 seconds into the 12:30 block of the show, after the Necrophagia song.
