Why do so many people like this band? They're so boring and repetitive

I love their first album, it's borderline technical death metal at times and brutal as fuck. The last two albums have their moments as well.

The reason so many people like them has kinda been hinted at in other people's posts - they've basically become the next Pantera, the next big American jock metal band.

Yeah I liked New American Gospel and the one after wasn't bad at all.

i don't think that they suck or that they are awesome. i think that at times they have some really good riffs but thats offset by the predictable, dissonant laden breakdowns. i know that every LOG song i heard has the off-time breakdown with the super tight double bass behind it and thats so old and played out that it drives me nuts.

I guess I am in the Minority, I like Lamb of God. I dont think they are a great band or anything but they have some good hard music and I think are very good live. The new song Redneck is not that good of a song. Hope the rest of the new album is better.

yeah but the production sucks ass on the first album.
that cymbal is so fucking loud on almost every song.

Up until this last album the bass drum always sounded like a wet cardboard box to me.

I like 'em. Not the best band on the planet and CERTAINLY not the most original (they owe Hanneman $0.10 off of every album they sell, imho), but I enjoy listening to them while driving.

I also dig their lyrics and the fact that you can actually understand what the guy is saying. I know it is a false scream, but it works.

Fuck it, man. We all love 'em, but that new tune is a fucking bummer. It's like "Lamb of Pantera's Ghost" now. Hopefully the other tracks will be more true to form. I, personally, was very excited to hear 'em bang out riffs like Palaces with the great production of Ashes. The new song is a letdown in a majour way.

be pleased to know......not all the songs sound like pantera-ish

....i will go ahead and say that the new one is not as good as "ashes of the wake"....but its okay.....
