Am I the only one that finds this comment totally ignorant?

I don't know but do you know if Persians really dressed like that? I'm guessing they did but I am also guessing they might have over did it for the movie. Maybe I'm wrong but whatever.

I know that the movie was not totally accurate (intentionally) and maybe the dress for the Persians was part of that. And besides, I was being humorous when I made the first comment.
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

I find Holly ignorant but that's besides the point.

I thought that the appearance of Xerxes was somewhat androgynous to juxtapose Leonidas` masculinity.

I was very impressed with the art direction in this film, even more so than Sin City, as good as that was. I just loved the stylization of the cimetography, and the color schemes that seemed to work perfectly for each particular scene.
Of course, the action was great too. ;)

Great movie....finally saw it on the IMAX.

Yeah, Xerxes was wrong. (For one thing, he had a beard historically.) The Persians probably didn't have Uruk-Hai-like critters at Thermopylae, nor did they have elephants there -- it would have been hell getting them across the Hellespont. :D

The actual battle and the numbers involved WERE accurate. Talk about one hell of a last stand! The final arrow barrage is historical and the remains have been found by archeologists. There is actually a tomb and memorial at the site today....as there should be.
