It was tremendous. The Vegas show was particularly good because they headlined and it was a really small hole-in-the-wall taco bar across the street from UNLV. The LA show was great as well, mainly because I also got to see The Chasm and D666. Although it took them a ridiculously long time to sound check, Destroyer did sound great. I just wish they had played longer, but they went on really late because all the set times kept sliding so the crowd was really wiped out by the time they played (after 8 or so bands). Then after the endless sound check at 2am, there just wasn't much excitement left in the crowd. I think D666 got a little miffed and only played a short set. I will definitely go see them again next time they are in the States.
Here are the tunes Urgehal played between the two shows, not necessarily in order. I requested Invasion and Through The Grace Of Hell, but Nefas said they had only rehearsed selected songs. I also took pictures with my phone if there is any way to upload them to the forum.
We Are Unholy
The Eternal Eclipse
The Sodomizer
Antichrist (Sepultura cover)
Raise The Symbols Of Satan (played at the request of D666)
Mirror Satan
Antireligiøs
Dødsmarsj Til Helvete
Goatcraft Torment
Satanic Black Metal In Hell
Risus Sardonius
Anyone into black metal should give Urgehal a listen. I think originally I compared them to a blacker Dissection, which is still fairly accurate. The more I listen to them lately, though, the more I hear Altars Of Madness era Morbid Angel mixed with some Carpathian Forest for good TNBM measure.
Anyway, Through Thick Fog Til Death is one of the best black metal albums of all time, so check it out.
