Halloween Show?

Post by Jinglepup » Tue November 4th, 2008, 6:07 am

This Halloween show was a diabocle where was Black Number 1? How can you have a Halloween show without Type O Negative? Didn't they support the station when times were tough some years back? And this is how you repay them for their support.

Blasphemy, I say! Heretics I say! Fools I say! Fools!
I mourn as and with DarkWolfen as our metal hero is gone. :(

My bad.

Halloween show playlist selection went like this: type random Halloween word into Winamp search, see which are good songs, add to playlist. "Black," "No.", and "1" weren't words I searched for you see!

When DarkWolfen was alive, he would have never tolerated such a heretical display.

I heard he was mangled in a car wreck blasting 22 Acacia Avenue by Iron Maiden.

That's only metal IF you find an Acacia Avenue to have the car-wreck on.

(There's gotta be one somewhere.... )

So, it's time to resurrect this thread with Halloween 2009 in mind.
I don't think I have anything really critical on my party calendar for October 30th, so AFAIK I'll be at WREKage that night.

Any requests/suggestions/ideas?

A few off the top of my haid....

Type O Negative, "Black No. 1" <--- including that damned edit on-the-fly
Slayer, "Skeletons of Society" :)
Misfits, "Halloween" <--- although I'm not sure we have this...I know Tim does...
Iced Earth, "Dracula" or "Frankenstein"

I have all the Misfits stuff.

I'm not going to make it but I'll be sure to pre-record something, or at the very least give you a CD with my playlist.

I'll email you what I have in mind...don't want to spoil it.

Marduk - Hellchild
Impaled - Ressurectionists
CC - Pit Full of Zombies
something by Hallows Eve

Helloween's "Halloween" comes to mind.

Anything by Samhain. Have any metal bands done covers of their songs?

I'm dating myself, but if anyone has the Trick or Treat soundtrack, that would be swell.

Overkill's "Bats in the Belfry"?

Pretty much anything by Deceased. Now that I think about it, I can't remember ever hearing Deceased on WREKage. Rectify!

Speaking of King Fowley, doesn't he have a band called October 31? I've never heard them, but I assume they're rife with Halloween imagery.

I'm sure more will come to me.

Type O Negative- Hallows Eve
Type O Negative- Creepy Green Light
Moonspell- Vampiria
Venom- Buried Alive
Misfits- Skulls
Opeth- Blackwater Park
Moonspell- Luna
Ayreon- Trauma
Tristania- Evenfall
Cradle of Filth- Malice Through the Looking Glass

Those would be my requests that seem pertinent.

I've played them!
I'm pretty sure Mitch did a few times, also.
